Points of interest include Topaz Mill, established in 1895 and once the center of a thriving community including a general store, blacksmith shop, cannery, barber shop and post office, located 14 miles southwest of Cabool. Situated near a spring that produces approximately eight to ten million gallons of water each day, the gristmill was powered by the rapidly flowing water which was redirected to the works by a wooden flume. At present, the mill has been restored by the owner and is in working condition, although not run on a daily basis.
